Eluents:

The shipping solvent is Tetrahydrofuran (THF). The in-column solvent can be replaced. Following eluents are suitable:

  • THF

  • Chloroform

  • Carbon tetrachloride

  • Toluene

  • Methyl ethyl ketone

  • Dimethylformamide (DMF) Usable at 40°C or higher)

  • Dimethylacetamide (DMAc) (Usable at 40°C or higher)

  • Hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) (Usable at 40°C or higher)

  • N-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP) (Usable at 40°C or higher)

  • Dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) (Usable at 40°C or higher)

Guard column:

The use of the guard column GPC LF-G is recommended.

Cleaning and Regeneration:

Clean the guard column and analytical column separately by running the eluent at 50% of standard flow rate in the opposite direction of the arrow on the column tag in order to remove the clogged substance.

Other single-pore columns with a smaller MW range are available from the GPC KF-800 series (THF), the GPC KD-800 series (DMF) or the ultra-rapid GPC HK-400 series.

The Shodex STANDARD M-75 is Polymethylmethacrylate for SEC, and it is suitable for SEC using hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) and dimethylformamide (DMF) solvent. Other usable solvents are tetrahydrofuran (THF), toluene, methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl acetate, DMF, and DMAc.​
